TENGENEZA GENERATION (TEG) is a youth-centered organization registered in 2014, dedicated to empowering young people through sustainable development initiatives.

Young people championing sustainable changes in their communities. In turn, they work with their families and neighbors to drive sustainable development into their homes, respecting local culture.
Since 2023: Supported 56 youth and teen mothers with seed capital, planted 4,350 trees (70% survival rate), impacted 535 young people with entrepreneurship education. 80% of businesses still operating.

Improving educational facilities and digital literacy. Building classrooms, teachers' rooms, kitchens, and sanitation facilities. Increasing 50% digital literacy in secondary schools across various regions.

Support our existing programs by expanding into new regions and including new initiatives. Increase income to 1,000 young people (20% young mothers) by providing $300 per business through seed capital and creating resource centers to educate entrepreneurs.
Increase 50% of digital literacy in 4 secondary schools in Kilwa Region. Building classrooms, teachers' rooms, kitchen and sanitation facilities at Kiroka Primary School near Uluguru Nature Reserve.
Creating restoration programs, seed banks, and behavior change campaigns. Archiving and documentation of biodiversity and culture, including endemic species and indigenous community stories on culture and conservation.
Artists collaborate with communities to document forest protection stories and joint patrols with game reserves across 3 nature reserves. Artworks featured in advocacy campaigns, fundraising events, and reports by Tanzania government, FAO and PANORAMA.
Through partnership and collaboration, we've learned that young people face hardships due to limited livelihood skills. Together, we're building knowledge and skills for income generation and self-employment.
